Door County is truly Sarah’s second home since her family has been vacationing here for over 60 years… she couldn’t have imagined her wedding anywhere else. Whew! Thank goodness, Nick fell in love with this quaint peninsula on his first visit and totally agreed. They decided to plan a destination wedding in hopes that their guests would enjoy a vacation in this beautiful area as well. Wedding party and family arrived Thursday afternoon and started the weekend with a sunset cruise out of Sister Bay followed by dinner and drinks, while Friday was for enjoying a classic Door County fish boil at the White Gull Inn and toasting the big celebration the next day. Many of the wedding party had not met before, so watching them become friends that weekend was such a thrill for Sarah and Nick. Their day couldn’t have been more perfect with the ceremony performed by Sarah’s hometown priest and family friend from St. Louis. Topping off the day was the main event at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club, where guest enjoyed dinner with a fabulous view and danced the night away!
Door County Wedding Photographer Samantha + Chris's Wedding Sawyer Farms, Egg Harbor
Walking past Sawyer Farms as a little girl to pet the horses, Sam could only dream of having her wedding here some day. This dream became reality, when Sam and Chris started planning, and the brand new Sawyer Farm Venue was ready to open. With Samantha’s grandparents living down down the road, the couple made their entrance by Door County Trolley to a gorgeous ceremony performed by family friend Pastor Michael Brecke. Down a winding road, the trolley took us to Horseshoe Bay Farms for photos to let the wedding party have a little fun and get the party started. Sam and Chris greeted their guests at their reception and enjoyed a fabulous pig roast by Door County Meats. It was the most gorgeous evening with Family and friends playing lawn games and dancing the night away.
Riverbend Kohler Wedding Photographer / Kate + Colin's Wedding
Can I tell you, it’s truly like a fairy tale driving up the winding road to the beautiful River Bend in Kohler…seriously… magical, quaint and charming. And photographing a small intimate Riverbend Wedding surrounded by family and close friends..oh my favorite!! Kate and Colin had the most gorgeous day in May for their outdoor ceremony and cocktail reception complete with a lawn manicured for croquet which kept the kiddos busy throughout. After their I do’s they retreated inside to the dining area most beautiful decorated to enjoy dinner with their guests.
Door County Wedding Photographer Joanne and Dane's wedding Baileys Harbor/About Thyme Farm
Why stay in Door County for just a couple of days when you can enjoy a week? Joanne and Dane encouraged their guests to stay leading up to their wedding which led to a fun filled vacation for family and friends. Joanne and Dane chose Door County for their day because of Dane’s family ties to the peninsula and it’s pure beauty. They rented an Inn in Gills Rock for their stay and had Door County Trolley transport them to the church and throughout the peninsula. The reception was held at About Thyme Farm and was more perfect than you can imagine, with lawn games, dinner and dancing inside the rustic barn.
